When Rose LaPadula of Middletown plays the lottery, she usually buys her tickets at the same place—the Valero (Hnz Petro Plus) gas station at 339 S. Main Street in Middletown. After buying a couple of lottery tickets at another retailer recently, Rose said she decided to stop in at the Valero as well, despite having purchased what she had intended. “It was just a feeling I had, to go to that particular store.”
