$1,000,000 Powerball Win Making Noise in the “Quiet Corner”

Connecticut’s “Quiet Corner” is making some noise this morning with news of a Powerball win worth $1 million. The winning Powerball ticket for the December 17th drawing was purchased at Sunny’s Supermarket on Main Street in Voluntown.

Known for its rural, quiet, and scenic nature, this area of New London County
is buzzing with word of a newly-minted millionaire in its midst. The winning
ticket matched all five white balls drawn: 25, 33, 53, 62, 66. The lucky winner
has yet to come forward to claim the prize.
