CT Lottery and UConn® Roll Out UConn Championship Cash Scratch Ticket
The CT Lottery, in its continuing partnership with the University of Connecticut Division of Athletics, will launch a new $5 scratch ticket – UConn® Championship Cash, which boasts more than $3.5 million in total cash prizes and three top prizes of $50,000. Connecticut residents will also have the chance to win tickets to attend select men’s and women’s basketball games through social media, TV and radio promotions.
“With over 735,000 fans in Connecticut and 1.7 million followers on social media, the UConn HuskiesTM men's and women's basketball teams are successful both on and off the court,” said Frank Suarez, CT Lottery President and CEO. “We are excited to help spread the message that UConn is indeed the Basketball Capital of the World® and give out some fun prizes and experiences in the process.”
This limited-edition ticket will be supported by a marketing campaign themed “Basketball Capital of the World®” as a nod to the Women’s and Men’s 17 NCAA college basketball championships combined since 1995, and public relations efforts will include several pop-up events around the state. UConn® Championship Cash will be available at over 2,800 retailers throughout the state.
“We are excited to be continuing this partnership with the CT Lottery,” UConn Director of Athletics David Benedict said. “Our fans across the state can continue to celebrate the championship caliber success of our basketball programs and show why UConn is the Basketball Capital of the World.”
Overall odds of UConn® Championship Cash are 1 in 3.54.
