Windsor Retailer Sells $4,000,000 Prize-Winning Scratch Ticket in First of Its Kind Jackpot
Player becomes Connecticut’s First-Ever Top Prize Winner on a $50 Scratch Game
WALLINGFORD, CT/September 9, 2024 – One lucky Connecticut player won one of three top prizes in the $4,000,000
Fortune scratch game, choosing to collect a one-time lump sum payment of $3,000,000
over the $4,000,000
20-year annuity. As the first-ever top prize winner on a $50 scratch game, new
CT Lottery President and CEO Frank Suarez personally presented the check and
offered congratulations to the winner at CT Lottery headquarters in Wallingford.
The winning ticket was purchased at Lara Market LLC, located at 1010 Kennedy
Road in Windsor. Lara Market will receive a $40,000 selling bonus from the CT
Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
The $4,000,000
Fortune scratch game was launched in December of 2023, with a ticket price
of $50. There are two remaining unclaimed top prizes, as well as other
