DOUBLE THE DRAWS, DOUBLE THE FUN!
Just in time for Wednesday night’s $438 million dollar Powerball drawing, the CT Lottery is giving Powerball players across the state one more reason to get excited! As of Tuesday morning, players can now add Double Play® for just $1 more per play, giving them a second chance to win using their same Powerball numbers — with a top cash prize of $10 million.
When players purchase Double Play, their regular Powerball numbers are entered into a separate Double Play drawing held after every regular Powerball drawing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
“Powerball Double Play is a great way to turn up the excitement for our players,” said Frank Suarez, President & CEO of the CT Lottery. “It’s simple, fun, and gives players twice the opportunity to win — while continuing to support the good causes that the CT Lottery funds every day.”
Double Play features fixed cash prizes, including the $10 million top prize. Players can win at any of the standard Powerball prize levels, from matching just the red Powerball to matching all five white balls plus the Powerball.
Connecticut joins 26 jurisdictions already offering Double Play, including Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
The first Double Play drawing for Connecticut players will be held after this Wednesday night’s regular Powerball drawing for a jackpot worth an estimated $438 million.
