$2,000,000 Powerball Prize-Winning Ticket Sold in Oakville for Monday, May 9, Draw
While no one hit the overall jackpot for last night's Powerball drawing, one lucky person in Connecticut purchased a ticket from 7-Eleven Store #11491A at 188 Davis Street in Oakville, with a five-number match worth $2,000,000.
The winning Powerball numbers for May 9 were 18 - 30 - 35 - 52 – 56. The Powerball number was 5, and the Power Play multiplier number was 2. In total, 4,276 winning Powerball tickets were sold statewide for that date.
Because the winning ticketholder added the Power Play option to their ticket, the normal prize of $1,000,000 was automatically doubled to $2,000,000.
Players for this drawing have 180 calendar days or until Nov. 5, 2022, to claim their winning tickets.
Wednesday night's Powerball jackpot is an estimated $68 million with a cash value of $39 million.
The overall odds of winning a Powerball prize are 1 in 24.9. Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338 million.
