Lucky Lunar New Year: $4 Million Mega Millions-Winning Ticket Sold at CT Lottery Retailer in Stratford
The Lunar New Year proved to be an auspicious one for a player in Connecticut, who won $4 million in last night’s Mega Millions drawing on a five-number match with 4X Megaplier. The winning ticket was purchased at Stratford Cigar & Smoke Shop, located at 2340 Broadbridge Avenue, in Stratford. Stratford Cigar & Smoke Shop will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The winning Mega Millions numbers for February 1, were: 11 - 24 - 38 -
62 - 66. The Mega Ball number was 1, and the Megaplier was 4X. Because
the winning ticketholder added the Megaplier option to their ticket, the normal
prize of $1 million was automatically quadrupled to $4 million.
Players
for this drawing have 180 calendar days or until July 31, 2022, to claim their
winning tickets.
Friday night's Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $22 million with a cash value of $15 million. The overall odds of winning a Mega Millions prize are 1 in 24. Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
